Product Review: @etymologie Vitamin B3 Balancing Masque

Happy Self Care Sunday loves! I have to say, I'm digging the notion of taking a day, or even just part of a day to care for yourself! As a woman, mother and wife, I almost always find my needs being pushed to the bottom of the priority list. There is always something someone needs from me and unless I carve out some “me time” I just never seem to have time to get everything done and still have time for myself. Can anyone else relate?

So I’ve recently made it my resolution to take some time every Sunday and I thought we could share ideas, products and rituals that will inspire more self care within our community :)

My favourite skincare line is from local Montreal brand, Étymologie. Not only are ALL the products fabulous but I really love this brand's approach to sourcing and manufacturing them as well. If you ever get a chance to meet Raquela, scientist & founder, you’ll immediately notice her kind soul and passion for the environment. From using natural and organic ingredients, to sourcing them responsibly and sustainably, to even packaging them in eco-friendly materials, her mission is to create products that are both good for us and mother earth!

A good skincare routine is essential to maintaining healthy skin but as a busy mom there is something especially alluring about taking some time to do a facial mask! Its 30 minutes of tranquility thanks to a locked bathroom door (also because it the only room in the house with a door lock lol) and I also make sure to have a cup of tea, to play some good tunes and settle in with book while my face is being pampered in a luscious mask... its paradise!

This face masque balances and purifies you skin, naturally. Fruit enzymes work to exfoliate dead skin cells on the surface of the skin. Pure vitamin C (ascorbic acid) brightens the skin and helps promote collagen formation. Canadian Glacial Clay and activated charcoal absorb excess oil and impurities, to help minimize the appearance of pores and help keep breakouts & blemishes at bay. Vegan probiotics help calm the skin and reduce the appearance of redness. While its recommended to apply it up to three times a week, I have noticed great results with my sporadic applications every couple of weeks.

If you aren’t in the habit of doing face masks, I highly recommend you start. Its much more cost & time effective than going to the spa and I promise you’ll feel great by simply taking some time for you! If you want to give the Vitamin B3 Balancing Masque a try, you can save some money by using PromoCode: MOTHEREARTH until Sunday April 25th at 11:59 pm

Its your turn now, do you practice any self care rituals? Share them in the comments below!
